Todd Greene, inventor and founder of HeadBlade, launched the original HeadBlade in 1999 – forever changing the way folks engage in head-care. Todd promoted his ideals of functional creations, encouraging people to own their bodies and not let antiquated ways dictate their value.
We are excited to announce our new S4, GreeneBlade, in honor and in memory of Todd Greene. The S4 GreeneBlade is very close to our hearts, and we’ve woven the fingerprints of our founder throughout this new model. We used a British Racing Green, in honor of Todd’s love of motor sports, and worked in subtle ribbons of yellow and blue, Todd’s personal favorite colors. No two GreeneBlades are the same, as each one is laboriously finished and polished by hand.
Pre-Orders for the S4 GreeneBlade are now available through our website, and, for a limited time, we are offering the GreeneBlade at a special pre-order discounted price.
One more thing…we will also be releasing an “LE MOTO Greene” version of this product, keeping alive Todd’s tradition of releasing a new LE model for the current HeadBlade. The “LE MOTO Greene” will be available for purchase on December 3rd, 2020.
As a final gift to Todd, we are also donating a portion of the sales of this product to The American Cancer Society.

Our founder and my dear friend, Todd Greene, passed away on February 26th. For the last few years, Todd had been battling cancer and finally, lost his battle. At the end, he was lovingly surrounded by family and friends. He is very missed by us all.

No company likes to post about an issue but we’ve been running HeadBlade transparently since 1999 and think the best way to keep our customer base is to tell you when we find an issue.
If you’ve been to the site you’ll notice that we are listing HeadSlick as “Out of Stock.” This is because our most recent batch was affected by improper cooling after production and, as a result, the usual creamy texture has given way to a more translucent viscosity with some visual white specs. We’ve taken the precautionary steps and have destroyed all remaining bottles from our 50,000 unit run. Unfortunately we did not find out about the issue until after some product had been released on the market. We are in production now on a new batch and hopefully it will be finished next week.
If you purchased a bottle from batch 19-0502 (number stamped on bottom of bottle) feel free to email us a photo of the lot number and, after we confirm your order, we’ll send you a replacement when we have stock.. The product is still good (you just have to shake the bottle up to get the proper consistency back), but we stand behind all of our products and always strive to get you the best head shaving products on the market.

Since starting the company in 1999, we’ve had four major HeadBlade designs; the Classic (1999), the Sport (2005), the ATX (2012), and the MOTO (2017).
The HeadBlade Classic and Sport work using the ‘pushing’ method where the blade is positioned on the front of the unit. While these units are more difficult to ‘master’ they give an amazing shave using generic type Atra and Ultrex blades. In 2002 we introduced the HB2 blades which came with additional adapters that kept the performance level to OEM standards. In 2006 we discontinued the HB2’s and came out with the HB3’s, which added an additional blade to the cartridge at a higher price. Now we are reintroducing the HB2 and discontinuing the HB3’s.
As we developed newer technologies, especially with suspension geometry, we created the ATX and MOTO editions which worked with the “pulling” method favored by conventional handles. With this new set-up we were able to create an ultimate HeadBlade that gives a great shave right out of the box with no learning curve. We designed these new models to work exclusively with our HB4 and HB6 blades.
In the next few months we’ll be reintroducing the value priced HB2 blade packs at $10 for 10 blades and two adapters! Because there will be a gap between production runs we will be selling the HB2 in temporary packaging to meet demand. These will be offered on the site as early as next week (April 4th). When full production starts, the HB2 will be the first HeadBlade item that does away with the hard plastic container; it will come in a resealable poly-bag like we have for the women’s Aveline line.
We’re excited to relaunch the HB2 as it is a great blade at an even better value than the outgoing HB3. For Shave Plan users we will be shipping HB3’s until stock runs out next month. We will contact you shortly about switching over to the HB2’s.
